S. G. Torrice Company
Your HVAC Partner Since 1958
The S. G. Torrice Company is a full-service HVAC distributor that was founded in 1958 by Samuel G. Torrice. The original building was a small warehouse located in Melrose, Massachusetts that was only staffed by two employees. In the 60-plus years since, we have expanded to 10 branches and a full sheet metal shop and more than 100 employees serving HVAC dealers in Eastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod and The Islands, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.
In 2003, the S. G. Torrice Company moved to our corporate headquarters at 80 Industrial Way in Wilmington, Massachusetts. This 100,000-plus square foot facility houses a warehouse fully stocked with equipment, parts, accessories and a full custom sheet metal shop, customer ordering counter, a show room, training room and our Inside Sales staff and corporate offices.
S. G. Torrice offers some of the top heating and cooling equipment brands in the industry. This includes American Standard, Trane, Ameristar, Mitsubishi Electric Heating & Cooling and many more. We are the exclusive distributor in the Northeast of both the Trane and American Standard equipment lines.
Our commitment to fast, convenient customer service and continuous state of self improvement promoted us to open multiple strategically placed branches across our service area. The S. G. Torrice Company opened branches in Randolph, Massachusetts at 81 York Avenue in 1993. Our expansion continued in 1995 by opening our first New Hampshire branch in Hudson at 24 Flagstone Drive. In 1999 we opened a branch on Cape Cod in Hyannis at 71 Bodick Road to help better serve The Cape and The Islands. In 2001, we opened a branch on the North Shore located at One First Avenue in Peabody. To expand our services in New Hampshire we opened our Portsmouth branch at 115 Heritage Avenue, Suite B in 2004. In 2006, our Providence, Rhode Island branch at 300 Niantic Avenue opened to help serve the South Massachusetts and Rhode Island. In 2013, we opened our Boston, Massachusetts branch at 30 Northampton Street, Rear to better serve our dealers working in the Greater Boston area. In 2017, when our product line expanded to include Trane equipment, we opened a Trane distribution center at 7 Lopez Road in Wilmington, Massachusetts. We expanded our distribution abilities again in 2018 by opening a southern distribution center at 600 West St. in Mansfield, MA.
