POSITION OVERVIEW
S. G. Torrice is currently seeking a Commercial Inside Sales Specialist to join our growing team in Wilmington, MA. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for taking customer orders and providing support for Inside Sales Representatives, Territory Managers as well as both external and internal customers.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop expertise in Trane and American Standard commercial HVAC equipment, systems, and applications.
- Receive quote requests from the sales team and customers via telephone and email to determine project scope/requirements.
- Drive close rates and sales growth by creating commercial and project quotes that leverage the strengths of Trane and American Standard equipment.
- Follow up and assist in the closure of LCU and project quotes as well as provide order management support.
- Provide technical and administrative assistance to dealers and contractors.
- Achieve proficiency in business operations software systems; meet productivity and accuracy standards.
- Ensure the delivery of personalized customer service through timely quotations and accurate sales orders.
- Work together with the sales team to support customer needs by determining the best products and solutions.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION
- Minimum of two years Inside Sales experience in the HVAC industry or other supply house experience preferred.
- Experience with Counter Sales preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of HVAC products and applications preferred.
- Good organizational skills and ability to focus on administrative detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Must be a team player with strong communication skills and a high regard for superior customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Must be comfortable using the internet to obtain product information and have basic mathematical skills.
- Must be detail oriented, responsive and have excellent follow-through skills.
- Must be able to multitask and work at a fast pace in a high-pressure environment.
